love less people

I don't think I'm one of those so called "love less" people.

I may not have romantic attachment right now, but I know that I'm much loved by my family and friends.

Having love in your life doesn't mean having a friendster profile stating you're "in a relationship", or having facebook pictures with your special someone.

But I guess, it all starts with giving love to your family and friends in ways that even those virtual accounts can't equal.

Why I'm saying this? Harhar! E ayoko nga eh, bakit ba? hehe!

Gratitude Journal

I learned this thing early this morning from watching Homeboy.

It's a journal where you can write down all the things you are thankful for that happened last year.

So here’s my version:
  • Thanks to my new found friends: OSG friends, Te Angie, Betchai, James.
  • Thanks for the trips: Unisan, Quezon last May; Ilocos Sur last October; and Baguio last December 28-29. All made possible by KALIPI.
  • Thanks to SolGen Nachura and Asec. Plaza).
  • Thanks to Cez: for introducing iGen. I learned a lot from our experience.
  • Thanks to Kuya Eric: for all the encouragements.
  • Thanks to my Ate Daye.
  • Thanks to my relatives in Pangasinan: napakainit lagi ng pagtanggap nyo sa amin.
Marami akong natutunan. Thank you for the love. Thank you for the pain. Thank you for the memories.
  • Thanks to my younger sister, A. Kahit na lagi kang pasaway at sakit ng ulo, salamat sa pagsama sakin, paglalambing, at pagyakap pag natutulog tayo.
  • Thanks to my Big Brother, Jan: para sa pagsuporta mo sakin lagi, financially and emotionally. Marami tayong naranasan ngayong taon na ‘to. Lagi mo kong pinapaiyak at pinupuyat. Salamat din at nakakapagkwentuhan tayo pag nagkikita.
  • Thanks to my ever-loving nanay. Thanks for your love, patience, care, and respect. The best ka talaga! Love you!
  • Thanks to you O Lord! I love you po!

God is so good talaga.

New Year's Resolution

It's a tradition! Almost every people do this before or after the year ends. They say, it's their way of directing theirselves to which path they would like to be.

For the sake of my love for blogging, i will try to list down my new year's resolution, for the first time, in my twenty two years of existence.

Things I will do this year:

1. Treat myself a vacation in Bohol. (hopefully, this summer!)
2. Put up a small business. (restobar for my nanay)
3. Have an appliance, equipment or a gadget.
4. Do a good deed (e.g. gift-giving for the orphans or calamity victims)
5. Enroll next school year (AB Language or BS Business Administration)

Things I will NOT do this year:

1. Over-spending. (I should save P1,500 from my monthly salary.)
2. Sleeping late. (I should sleep before 12mn except for important activities.)
3. Excessive eating. (minimal intake of food: 1 cup of rice, no fatty and oily foods)
4. Sloth day. (it's really hard to wake up early during weekends..)
5. NO BOYFRIEND. (The most difficult of all.)

Guide me, O Lord. Amen.

Star-Gazing!

Hay, I can’t believe that my day would be very exciting until I went to the mall last night.

After a tiring trip from Vigan, Ilocos Sur, I wasn’t able to come to office on time. I slept from 3am till 10am, and then went to the office. I had a hard time doing my work, because I am really sleepy.

We went to Ilocos last Thursday night and arrived at around 6am in Ilocos Marina Resort Club, Santiago, Ilocos Sur for a Leadership Youth Camp, organized by the KALIPI-University of Northern Philippines and sponsored by BM Zuriel Zaragoza of the 2nd District of Ilocos Sur. The Camp started at 3pm, Friday with Amazing Race. 70 students from UNP-Vigan and Candon actively took part. We had our Solidarity Night with a theme “ROCKISTA”. Each group performed their Tunog-Tao presentation. The Camp ended on Sunday with a little sadness in everybody’s face, but also a smile, brought by the enjoyment and new friends they’ve met.

The facilitators went to Vigan to buy pasalubong for their friends and loved ones. So last night, I was obliged to meet Kuya Rey and Ces to give them my pasalubong. We had our dinner at Mann Hann in Megamall (tnx for the treat, kuya rey! Well, I think, it’s my turn again.. ang bilis..).

After dinner, we went to the cinema after I learned that Lea Salonga was one of the judges of Philippine Idol in Cinema 3. To my surprise (and even to kuya rey’s surprise), we saw Eula Valdez in her black terno carrying a bouquet of flowers. She was with Tita Ange (wow, close!). We were star struck by her presence, that we didn’t realize that we can have a picture with her. Too late, she walked away before we thought of taking a picture of her. (hay, sobrang sayang talaga, kasi we have all the opportunity, kaso nastarstruck talaga kami sa kanya).. Then as we walked through the cinema, we have seen Meryll Soriano being interviewed for her movie REKADOS.

Cinema 3 is at the corner side of the cinemas in Megamall.. We saw people taking pictures with a celebrity. So we went on, and surprisingly saw Ms. Lea Salonga.. She is really beautiful in her gold-black blouse and black slacks. I felt like I was going to faint that time. She even walked in front of me. Too sad, we haven't taken a picture of her.

Then we walked out of the cinema and saw China Cojuangco and took a picture of her with Kuya Rey.

We stayed for a while outside of the Cinema, and realized that it’s also the premiere night of GIGIL. We saw stars and we felt like we were stalkers that time. We have seen, Joseph Bitangcol, Sandara Park, Uma Khouny, Jason (PBB), Rico Barrera, Miguel aka Boom, Say Alonzo, Katrina Halili,

and my other Idol, Ms. Nene Tamayo.

I was really happy when we finally had a picture with Nene.

She’s really kind, and a soft-spoken individual. She just smiled and say nothing but ‘thanks’. But I love her really.

Whoaa! I really love that night.. Imagine, meeting your top three local idols: Ms. Nene Tamayo, Ms. Eula Valdez, and Ms. Lea Salonga. It’s like I am a star-gazer!

Thank you, Lord, for creating Malls, pasalubong and friends.

alas, an encounter with my idol!
